Aloha to the West End’s answer to a Hawaiian vacay, Mahiki. As the ultimate tropical party destination, this fun-loving bar is the El Paradiso of Mayfair and makes frivolous sophistication the main focus of Soho nights out. While it might not be all flower garlands, scorchio sunshine and hula-hula grass skirts, Mahiki is pretty much the closest you’re going to get to that once-in-a-lifetime holiday experience without even having to board a plane. Its swanky city setting and air of exclusivity ensures an evening embodying the life of a glamorous socialite for anyone stepping over the threshold.
Filled with Tiki-inspired decoration throughout, this two floor tropical haven is creatively colourful without nearing the eye-sore end of the spectrum. From the outside, Mahiki could be any old West End venue with its big, heavy ‘look at me’ doors and somewhat scary-looking security. But on the inside, its plush furnishings, bamboo-clad walls and, of course, exotic foliage makes it pretty hard to believe that the well-trodden streets of Fitzrovia rest just a few feet away. Embracing those all-too-often sought after holiday vibes, Mahiki’s quirky tropical theme offers just the right amount of Honolulu edge for an effortlessly entertaining environment. Really, the only thing missing here are some hot white sands, clear blue waters and a jealousy-inducing golden tan; one that doesn’t come out of a bottle that is!

This vivacious Polynesian paradise lets you be a Honolulu Honey for the night with a frozen coconut cocktail in hand. You never know, an evening spent in Mahiki might later see you drunkenly scouring the web for the next flight out of Heathrow. You can say Mahalo to the potent Tiki brews for that one!
